The PSA13 is a rotary magnetic encoder IC which uses Hall sensor technology for sensing the magnetic field, tracking angle to code converter, digital processing and interface circuits. The microcircuit has a built-in automatic gain control system, providing a constant signal at the output of the sensor system when the distance between the magnet and microcircuit changes.
The PSA13 includes a channel for calibrating the location of the chip relative to the magnet, with an analog output of the error signal to the CAL_OUT pin.
The PSA13 has a built-in linearization of the position code, which provides the ability to compensate for the conversion error caused by the non-ideals of the position sensor assembly.
The PSA13 comes in a small and compact QFN32/QFN40 package (6 × 6 mm).
